THE CLEANPAD FIELD GUIDE / 02
Vacation rental restock checklistCount what is there.
Bring what is missing.
A restock list should compare a target with an actual count. “Looks fine” and “not counted” are different records.
Open the restock checklist →What is a par level?
A par level is the quantity you want available for the next stay. It is a property-specific operating target, not a universal requirement. Cleanpad starts with editable defaults for towels, sheet sets, toilet paper, soaps, bin liners and coffee. Adjust these for your amenities, occupancy, stay length and existing supply arrangements. For an Airbnb listing, start from the Essentials list converted to per-turnover counts.
How the restock calculation works
Bring = max(0, target − on hand). With a target of 10 bin liners and 2 counted, bring 8. With 12 on hand, bring 0. A blank on-hand field is uncounted and displays a dash rather than inventing a quantity.
| Item | Target | Counted | Bring |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bin liners | 10 | 2 | 8 |
| Hand soap | 2 | 3 | 0 |
| Bath towels | 4 | Not counted | Unknown |
Decide which supplies are essential
Mark supplies essential when a shortage must stop the handoff. An essential shortage blocks it; an unknown essential count requires review. Other known shortages also remain visible and must be cleared before Cleanpad offers host confirmation. Turning off “Essential” does not mark an item replenished.
Count again after replenishing
The “Bring” number is a gap, not an order or a delivery record. Bringing a bag to the property does not update the count automatically. Enter the new on-hand quantity after putting the items away, then check the handoff summary again.
Keep the next stay in mind
Use consistent units: rolls, bottles, sets or individual items. Avoid mixing a case with a bottle in one row. Check the cupboard where the cleaner actually restocks, and distinguish guest supplies from the cleaner’s equipment. Inventory history is local to this turnover; there is no supplier ordering or automatic stock sync.
Build the routine with the room-by-room checklist, then finish with a final inspection.
